I recently had the pleasure of meeting members of Spray – the Swedish Watercolor Society (Akvarellsällskapet Spray in Swedish) – not just once, but twice in the same day! Two separate groups, each with over 20 participants, all filled with curiosity, passion, and a shared love for watercolor painting.
During both sessions, I did a live painting demo from start to finish, sharing my process along the way – how I think when I paint, why I make certain choices, and how I try to bring life into a watercolor. I also spoke a bit about myself, my connection to watercolor, and what keeps me inspired as an artist.
It was a joy to engage in thoughtful conversations, answer insightful questions, and feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout. I’m grateful for the invitation and hope I managed to inspire a few participants to paint more freely – and perhaps to let go of the brush at just the right moment.
Thank you, Spray, for two wonderful meetings!
