On the final course day, the participants were free to choose how they wanted to finish the week – either with a subject of their own choice or by painting plein air. But the weather had not improved. It was still cold and rainy, so the entire group spent their final day in the studio.
After lunch, it was time to pack up and check out. But the week was far from over!
In the evening, we gathered once again in the dining room for a grand exhibition. Everyone had chosen their favourite painting from the week, and together they created a wonderful and colourful display. The talented beginners’ group also took part and proudly presented their beautiful paintings. It was a lovely mix of artwork – and above all, there was plenty of joy, laughter and pride in everything that had been created during the five days.
Then it was time for another three-course dinner. The food at Kallgården had been fantastic throughout the week, with many local ingredients and plenty of game – moose, reindeer, Arctic char and wild duck. One of the most memorable dishes was probably the cured moose, which was a truly special taste experience.
