Today we began with a lesson in perspective. Two barns in the beautiful Jämtland landscape turned out to be the perfect subject – simple enough to allow us to focus on perspective, yet with just the right amount of challenge.
In the afternoon, we headed outside for some plein air painting. The weather was perhaps not quite on our side – it was cold and windy, with a little rain in the air – but that didn’t stop us. We found several beautiful subjects and got to experience the particular challenge of painting directly out in nature, whatever the weather.
